Rusty Sculptures by Russ Brebner

Rusty Sculptures are unique pieces created using recycled materials and metals. Materials are sourced from metal recyclers, scrap yards, opp shops, donations and frequent visits to the tip.

Raw materials include computer cases, circuit boards, lawnmowers, hand and garden tools, sewing machines, saw blades, scrap metals, nuts and bolts.

I aim to put a little personality into every creation. With available materials continually changing, every piece is totally unique.

I have been creating for around 8 years. I enjoy the challenge of creating a creature for the various bits and pieces at hand. Sometimes an idea comes from an individual component with the creation developing around the component. While the majority of my creations are small I have recently tried some larger items which is a challenge in my tiny workshop.

All items pictured have been made over the past couple of years, many have been sold already but t here is always new creatures being created.
